Dr. Dale Cottle currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Alabama Mental Health Authority. Northwest is the agent for the state mental health system in a 5-county region. He is responsible for 52 facilities and over 500 staff members. Dr. Cottle initially began his tenure with mental health as a child psychologist and now has almost 40 years of experience. He currently serves on several committees including the Department of Mental Health State Planning Committee, The Department of Mental Health Legislative Committee, The Mental Illness Coordinating Committee, and is currently secretary of the Behavioral Healthcare Alliance of Alabama.
Dr. Cottle has been a strong advocate of the integration of primary and behavioral health care and brings a strong knowledge base to the Capstone Rural Health Center Board of Directors.
