Parker Woods joined Capstone Rural Health clinic in 2019 as a Licensed Masters Social Worker at the Nauvoo location.
Parker graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham Cum Laude with his Bachelors in social work, and then from the University of Alabama with his Masters in 2018.His concentration is in individuals and family, and his interest is in serving those with severe mental health illnesses, and veterans.
Parker completed internships with UAB’s HRSA Heart Failure clinic and PATHS Diabetes clinic and with the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center , where he facilitated support groups, connected patients to needed resources,and completed SBIRT screenings for substance abuse. He also worked on Brookwood Baptist’s Behavioral Medicine Unit providing individual and group therapy, and connection to resources. Parker currently works as a LMSW providing counseling to patients as part of Capstone’s holistic approach to providing care to populations who often lack resources to seek help.
