Retisha Winton joined Capstone Rural Health in November 2020.With the expansion of the Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder program at Capstone Rural Health, Mrs. Winton accepted the role as a Licensed Masters Social Worker at the Parrish location.
Prior to joining Capstone Rural Health, Mrs. Winton served in eight Correctional Facilities including Wexford Health Sources-Donaldson Correctional Facility, The Dannon Project, Integral Care, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and Hudson Correctional Facility.Mrs. Winton specializes in substance abuse, trauma, and reentry as well as experience with intellectual disabilities, youth with criminal history, and in the role of Parole Officer.
Mrs. Winton obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology degree from Texas Woman’s University and a Master in Social Work degree from the University of Alabama. Mrs. Winton attained her Licensed Masters Social Worker Certification in 2017.
Mrs. Winton is a native of Texas and currently resides in Bessemer, Alabama.She is excited to bring her skills from substance abuse counseling to the Behavioral Health MAT Program.
