Capstone Clinic holds ribbon-cutting in Nauvoo
Capstone Health held a ribbon-cutting for its new clinic in Nauvoo on Friday, which opened to the public in May. U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt came to the event — moved indoors due to storms — as he was instrumental in getting $725,000 in federal funding for the facility. The Cawaco RC&D Council also presented a ceremonial check to commemorate the $10,000 Cawaco presented for the clinic's construction. The new facility has six exam rooms and a first-floor pharmacy. Among the many officials and dignitaries there were Dr. Foster David Jones, executive director of Capstone, and state Sen. Matt Woods, R-Jasper. Jones noted it is the 10th anniversary of Capstone coming to Nauvoo. For more photos, see A2. (Daily Mountain Eagle photos by Ed Howell)
